| HVAC: |
Chilled Water (Air Conditioning): System provides 4,100 tons of cooling capacity. The cooling is accomplished through a highly efficient water system which chills water to 35 degrees at night, during the off-peak utility rate hours. The system stores approximately 1,275,000 gallons of water in seven (7) steel-plated storage tanks (six full, one empty). The chilled water is stored in the six cold tanks from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 p.m. the following day. The thermal storage usage cycle goes into effect at 12:00 p.m. This is accomplished by using water out of one of the six cold tanks, funnelling it through a heat exchanger and restoring the warmed chilled water back into the empty tank. |
